This bobblehead was produced for the New York Yankees to benefit the restoration of Hinchliffe Stadium in Paterson, NJ. The bobbleheads were distributed at the New York Yankees game on May 11, 2023 to purchasers of a special ticket. The Yankees have allowed us to sell a limited number of bobbleheads to fans who were unable to attend the game but would like this special edition bobblehead.
On May 11, 1941, which was Opening Day, Paige pitched the Negro Leagues New York Black Yankees to a complete game victory over the Philadelphia Stars 5-3 while striking out 9 at Yankee Stadium. The complete box score appears on the side of the bobblehead box.
