This is the first bobblehead featuring Mayonesa the Raccoon who became a viral social media sensation after getting her head stuck in a mayonnaise jar in Dallas, Texas. After several sightings by concerned residents and failed rescue attempts, the elusive raccoon was spotted in a tree near an abandoned house by Dallas Animal Services officers on Monday, August 3rd. With a mayonnaise jar stuck on her head, the raccoon, affectionately dubbed Mayonesa, was easy to spot. Once Mayonesa climbed down from the tree, DAS officers carefully approached her from behind and were able to capture her. Mayonesa was lightly sedated and given fluid and medications before being freed from the jar. Animal officers said besides dehydration Mayonesa was in “remarkably good condition and full of energy” after going without food and water for a few days. Mayonesa is receiving short-term care from Texas Metro Wildlife before being released back into the wild.
