This bobblehead features Baseball Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith making what he considers to be the best play he ever made, and what many say is the best infield play in Major League Baseball History. On April 20th, 1978, Ozzie Smith was a rookie shortstop for the San Diego Padres starting only his tenth career game as the Padres faced the Braves in San Diego. In the top of the fourth, Atlanta left fielder Jeff Burroughs hit a hard ground ball towards Smith, who quickly broke to his left. However, just as he began his dive, the ball hit a rock and took a bad hop to Smith's right. With no time to adjust, Smith's only option was to stick out his bare hand. He was able to grip the ball, make it to his feet, and fire to first for the out. The were produced exclusively for the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum and are officially licensed by the San Diego Padres and MLB.
