Cook served as the head coach of the Nebraska Cornhuskers women's volleyball team from 2000 to 2024, leading Nebraska to 4 National Championships and 15 conference titles in his 25 seasons. He ranks 12th all-time in coaching wins in major college volleyball history and is a three-time AVCA National Coach of the Year. On January 30th, 2025, Cook announced his retirement. The bobblehead is officially licensed by the University of Nebraska.
